Strengths of Samsung’s LN52A750 HDTV:
- The picture quality on the Samsung LN52A750 is superb, and way ahead of the field in terms of quality by large margins when you compare everything in the 52” price range that this television falls into
- The Samsung Ln52a750’s price is another major pro of this unit, simply a lot cheaper than one would expect for this quality, throw the name Sony on this technology and it would have been a lot more expensive and not any better
- Styling and look is another major plus going for this 52” LCD… The touch of color I wasn’t sure about when I read and looked at pictures, but then I unpacked the box and was pleasantly surprised at how nice this thing looks
- Tons of connectors and inputs was key for me, as I have lots of components and gadgets plugged in, would have sucked if had to plug in and out all my stuff like I annoyingly did with my last television
Non perfect areas of the Samsung LN52A750 LCD:
- Sound was not perfect and left something to be desired, woofer is only a wee bit better than older TVs, although I have since initially listening to it hooked up my 5.1 surround system, so I don’t have much more to critique
- I barely use the wiselink features, so not a major benefit worth paying for at least in my usage.
DLNA isn’t all that great, something that will probably change as more stuff rolls out in DLNA certification, but not really all that great for time being - Picture in picture mode kinda sucks compared to what I’ve seen out of some other brands PIP modes
- Remote is less than perfect, with the iPod inspired wheel key not being crisp and responsive at all
Overall Summary of my Samsung LN52A750 TV:
Incredibly happy with the purchase, quality, features and most especially the price of the 52” A750 LCD. It has the above areas which need to be improved upon in my opinion, but still remains probably the best 52-inch LCD in this price point bar none. If I could trade it in for another one of the same or lesser price I know I most certainly wouldn’t change a thing, except maybe if I could find the A650 for a couple hundred cheaper I might take the money and invest in a great universal remote or cool wall mounting. The picture is absolutely stunning and 120HZ auto motion plus is an unbelievable upgrade as a previous 60HZ lcd owner, a major major selling point here for me that makes almost everything look much better. Highly recommend this television, and was glad that the over 100 Samsung LN52A750 reviews on amazon.com were there to help me sway to this model instead of a Sony or other similar option. Samsung just seems to be separating itself from the competition lately, and have made me a true fan for the foreseeable future unless they start to get greedy and up their prices to something more like their competitors for the same or better quality.
The very first thing that sticks out about Samsung LN52A750 is its exterior look, which is nothing short of beautiful and just highlights any room in your house quite nicely. The huge glossy look of this LCD TV with the new exterior changes over the older Samsung LCD TV series’ makes it easily one of the most attractive and eye-catching pieces of electronics around.
